Dale Salvaggio Bradshaw (left) and Kelly Beatty (right)

Kelly and Dale met when they were suitemates at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where they made an instant connection and became fast friends. They have been "soul sisters" ever since and were able to use their complimentary backgrounds to co-author Firestarters.

Kelly Beatty
Eleven years in advertising broadcast production, Kelly Beatty worked to bring other people's creative ideas to life. She thought, "If I'm going to work this hard, I might as well be producing my own work." Her love of architecture, photography and art brought her to Meredith College in Raleigh, NC where she earned a second major in interior design, with a minor in studio art. The first degree is in Journalism and Mass Communication from UNC-Chapel Hill. Kelly is currently employed as an interior designer for an interior design firm that specializes in health-care design.

Dale Salvaggio Bradshaw
Dale received a Speech Communication degree and Business Administration minor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and worked in marketing for various companies for six years. After deciding to stay home with her young children, Dale was able to keep her marketing skills sharp by freelancing, writing children's stories and co-authoring Firestarters. She currently splits her time between marketing for a regional medical services company and the duties of motherhood.

Kelly and Dale plan to co-author more books in the future. "Our ideas never stop!"
